It’s been such a long time since I posted last. It was for Halloween. I’ve been very very busy -- so busy that I gained weight! (I eat a lot when I’m stressed out). Anyway, here’s something -- the card I made.

最後にポストしてからずいぶん経ちます。ハロウィーン以来か。すごく忙しくて…忙しすぎて太った（ストレスがたまると食べてしまうのです）。とにかく、私が作ったカードでもどうぞ。

I went to the first gig this year, already!

The bands are:
THE BAWDIES
THE NEATBEATS

They are Japanese bands and their music is simple straight Rock and roll.
Although I was invited the day before, I was right that I decided to go!
That’s not only because it was an all-you-can-drink-sake party (I can’t drink much, oh well), but their music matched my recent taste, which has come back to me after listining to various styles of music.
Actually, they were realy good.

Especially, I was happy that I finally got to see THE NEATBEATS, since I have worked on their dvd before.
Of course I knew their songs by listining their CD’s, but this time, watching & listening them playing live was way much better.
Drinking sake, their wild Rock and roll music followed by their fluent Manzai-like MC gave me a good buzz.
It was just the right live show to kick off the new year.

It’s a new year, it’s 2008.
We are kick-starting our prosperous new year to make it different than ever before, too!

 
友達のS子に誘われて、新年会ライブに行ってきた。

と
THE NEATBEATS

どちらもシンプルでまっすぐなロックンロールバンド。
急なお誘いだったのにもかかわらず、行ってよかった！
樽酒がフリーだったから…な～んてお酒の弱い私にとって、
行ってよかった理由はそんなことじゃなく、
最近音楽のテイストが1周して
基本のロックに戻った私にとって、
正直に2つのバンドがとってもよかったってこと。

特にTHE NEATBEATSは以前ちょっと
お仕事をさせていただいたこともあり、
やっと見に行けたといううれしさもあったかな。
CDでは聞いていたんだけど
やっぱりライブは格段によかったな～！
樽酒でくらくらしていた私の頭に
彼らの流れるような関西弁のかけあいMCが
新春の漫才のように心地よく響きわたり、
続いてガーッとROCK 'N' ROLLになだれ込んで行くのが
なんとも景気よく、年初めにふさわしいライブでした。

うちのジムショも彼らバンドと同じように、
個性を出しまくって2008年つっぱしろーと思います！
本年もよろしくお願いします！

2006年は、仕事に関しては、新しい仕事も入りつつ、今までの仕事もコツコツやって、今年が終わろうとしている。

さて事務所の大掃除でもして…なんて思ってたらあんた、今日からどばーーっと待ちに待った原稿が来たのさ。このような状況になるだろうと忘年会も早々すませたし、仕事納めまであと4日、がんばろう。お正月は休みたいからね。明けたらまた向こう1か月地獄だから。

それにしても、ずーっとヒマで突然がばっと忙しくなるっていうのは、どうにかならないもんか。こういう職種の場合は仕方がないんだけど、先が見えない不安というのは精神衛生上よくない、と今更ながら思う。

Now it's the end of the year 2006. As for work, we got some new projects and also kept working on the old ones this year.

Ok, let's clean up the office before the new year... that's what we were supposed to do, but, today, we recieved tons of drafts and materials for the project we were about to start, which we had been waiting for so long! We've already done with a "year-forgetting-party", expecting this busy situation toward the end of the year. We have only 4 working days left until the new year holidays. We'd better try our best, because we want to take the holidays off. Then, the next month will be a HELL again.

Can we do anything about this situation that we've been having so much time doing nothing and that all of a sudden get so busy. I know we can't do anything about it, but I think, after having been working as a graphic designer for more than 10 years, it's not good mentally that we don't see the schedule ahead, being always anxious about what is happening.
